  • Cafe Birthday Dinner

Alexandria Menzies had her birthday party dinner today. We had Italian food at a really good place called Basilico before we dropped her back off at the University of Washington campus covered in mountain bikes. It really inspired me to fix up my bike again.

  • Dating Melodrama And Austin

Sometimes I miss the constant dating melodrama Austin, Texas could create. Austin Texas home of bikes and bizarre love triangles.

  • Daily Song

“Oh how I HATE being single, and NOT having a boyfriend!” This is the song that I sing EVERY day as I wake up. I am still a person who craves love just as much as when she had a husband, and gave birth to her daughter. My ex-husband was the one who abandoned and divorced me, and yet society blames the woman for the things the man did. Still I keep up hope that I will meet someone for a lasting relationship, and a new chapter of my life can begin even if I have to travel to the ends of the Earth to find it.

  • Yearly Reminder

    By Andrea Menzies

This is my yearly reminder post that this is NOT my first year teaching. I still have the badges from my years teaching in 2009/10/11 in Austin, TX. I worked there for years after getting my University degree. I am on my third year teaching in Richmond. I took two years off for surgeries years ago, and now everyone strangely thinks I am “newly” employed.

  • School Return

    By: Andrea Menzies

I had a good week returning to work at Manchester High School. For teacher work the school year is hitting full swing.

Yes I do still work full time as a teacher. I may look pretty relaxed in the summer, but I do still return to work in the fall.

  • Happy Blue Moon

Happy Blue Moon week to all.

  • Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2 has the best graphics of any video game. Case closed.

  • Back to School

A repost from one of my last working days before summer break 2023. I first started teaching in 2004 in Austin, TX and started teaching in Richmond, VA in 2019.
  • Back From California

I picked Anne up from the airport this weekend after her month long trip to California. It was her brother Jim’s birthday, and I am glad she saw the party.

More true every time I read it.
