Podcast Updates For FH7 Publishing

  • Burger Day

I got my Stranger Things ice cream fix at Baskin-Robbins today, and tried the Beyond Burgers at the new Carytown location of Carytown Burgers. I was feeling super sad, but people pointed out to me sitting around the house doing nothing does not help with that issue at all. I am really glad I had friends take me out for food today.

I lost 2 more pounds on my diet this week, but too much starving can make you really sad. Not great when I am already feeling homesick for Texas. The lack of men to date in Virginia is fully horrible. Texas was NOT like that at all!

  • Visit to Austin and Halloween Interview with Andrew Steed 2018

I was traveling in Austin, TX to promote my latest podcast episodes and books. I happened to run into my old friend Andrew Steed, and managed to get some interview questions answered.

Andrew Steed has been involved in promoting many bands in the Austin music scene. He has traveled to many towns to see live shows across the country. I am the girl on his left in the photo below, and yes that was High School prom we were at together for both Junior and Senior year prom dances. One of the first concerts I ever saw was with Lalapolooza in Dallas. Andrew’s tastes run from old school punk in The Dead Kennedys, Ministry, to pop punk of the more Green Day variety. Andrew’s tastes in music come from his love of fiction book authors including Robert Heinlein,William Seward Burroughs II, and William Gibson.

  • This Week

Wishing for good luck on this week’s job hunt. When having a huge amount of New Orleans Juju candles around actually comes in handy.

  • In the Now

There is not a person alive who does not wish they could live on vacation in New York, Hawaii, or Paris or another place forever. We all survive making do with what there is here and now. I have had to battle to understand this today.

  • The Hunt

My social media is about to be way less spooky as I enter serious job hunting mode for the New Year. August is job hunting and training time for many jobs. Please don’t drop F-bombs on my posts.

  • Toy RV

I do plan to buy the Walking Dead toy RV from AMC. Unfortunately I am not going to be on the TV show as an extra even as I applied for work on it. It turns out The Walking Dead show wants a strange combo of perfect health so that you can work 12 hour days on your feet, and perfect free time for filming for a month. I figured it would be a few days but a month? If you are so healthy you can work 12 hour days wouldn’t you be BUSY most days already? As a single mother who works and goes to college night school I know not of this “free time” which they speak of. If anyone else in the area does get hired let me know, and I will cheer on your part.

  • The Writer’s Journey

I write poetry and short stories, and this is a great book for any type of writer. The main focus is on Screenwriters with Hollywood dreams. However poetry often tells emotional stories, and short stories use all the Mythic Structure rules. It keeps the writer motivated to keep publishing, and helps people get out of writer’s block issues by giving them new plot points to explore when stuck. A friend said I should read this book when I was on a visit to Texas from Virginia, and they were not wrong. The Writers Journey pic 1

  • Good News

Happy to at last get some good news. The thing about gimmicks and rants is they sometimes work.
