I just spent 10 hours at my house with no power using this flashlight. None of the weather apps on my phone warned me of severe weather issues in my area! The power finally came back on just now. I could smell hundreds of dollars in food going bad in the refrigerator while I waited. Not fun in a pandemic where getting money to replace lost food is hard to do. I changed the weather apps on my phone to better rated apps with more storm warnings. Some advanced notice that we were about to get clobbered by severe weather would have been VERY useful!

My Podbean podcast FH7 Publishing Book Reviews has been down for a few days for website edits. It should be back online for Tuesday updates for sewing book reviews. I will try not to turn this into a sewing journal, but mask making for Coronavirus has made me want to sew one million things!

My new sewing machine is up and running! I have already fixed 8 things that had 4 inch holes. I am not an absolute beginner as I used to sew with my grandmother as a kid. However it was obvious I needed a refresher. You cannot always go to the closed stores to buy new things when in quarantine. In addition sewing can make masks. Therefore this is a great time to go on a sewing kick. I will be reviewing my latest sewing book on my book review podcast later this week at FH7publishing.com

I am in part of the Northeast that got slammed with hurricane storms last night. I am okay, and not in the hospital. Street lights were broken, but the street was not washed away. Thank heaven for small wonders, and remember things can always get worse. Thanks to everyone posting worried messages about me online last night.
