  • Baby Chickens

My class got to pet baby chickens this week as a field trip. Sometimes teacher work does have perks.

  • Still Sick

I am still getting over a bad cold and sinus infection. The worst I have had in years. But the doctor said after two tests that it is NOT COVID-19 so that is good. The medication they gave me says may cause drowsiness, but it should really say may cause a coma as I am so sleepy 🥱.

  • Netflix Funny Show

The new funniest show on Netflix is called the Pentaverate. As a fan of the Illuminati sci fi books I enjoy the humor.

  • Teacher Week

I look at teacher week with squinting eyes of suspicion. I eat the pizza but see the irony.

  • Nightmare Loathing

Words can not describe the nightmare loathing I feel towards the state of Virginia. It is safe to say I have completed hated every square foot of the state compared to other places I have lived. #horrifiedpainandagony

I just started reading the Cursed Child Harry Potter book, and it is really good. The part where Hermione turns into a new evil Dark Arts teacher is so far my favorite.

  • Kid Work

Before teaching Kindergarten I used to struggle to get 10 thousand steps a day. Now I hit 14 thousand steps before I even hit the gym. Kids are hard work.

  • The Planet’s Return

The Planet’s Return! I decided to return to Planet Fitness gym this week. It may have issues, but it was not as expensive as the money grubbing gyms I have been dealing with as an alternative. National chain gyms are great for road trips in RVs or traveling vans as you can shower at the gym as you travel minimizing the need for expensive hotel showers. I dream daily of leaving Virginia in an RV as I dislike my family moving to this area. I am a bit concerned that it has anti-crime logos everywhere as Planet Fitness gyms in Texas did NOT do that, and it hints at need for concern.
