Looks like my trip to Texas in July to promote books is going to be on delay. Texas just re-closed due to the pandemic, and many of my friends that normally let me stay on the sofa on the way to Texas are afraid to have guests due to coronavirus. I will try again in August when I can save up more hotel cash. Oh well absence makes the heart grow fonder!
My father was a career Army man who died of his war wounds when I was a kid. This gives me extra respect for the great fathers out there. Happy Father’s Day!

I got new Car Floor mats today! Woot! TNBC was all over clubs in Texas a few years back so it has sentimental value for me. Halloween car transformed! I drive for Uber Eats and Door Dash when I am not teaching, so I have to make my vehicle food-proof anyway. Seat and floor mat covers can be washed.
Alexandria’s Graduation Day Videos 2020. My daughter Alexandria graduated High School on Tuesday of this week in 2020. Despite the pandemic and riots of this year the walk across the stage and dinner party at the outside patios of Mellow Mushroom went well! I gave her many graduation gifts including an MP3 player and music box.
School visit with Alexandria to Fredericksburg, VA this weekend. Anne, Jean Brehm-stern, Alexandria and I all went on the road trip. Turns out it was a good time to get out of Richmond for a while. The weekend long protests and curfew now in effect are really taking a toll.

An issue with Corona Virus keeping us all inside is that if you are single there is not even the HOPE of dating. As a single person I really hate this part, and wish for the end of the home-stay. Before if I had a bad weekend I at least had HOPE of the next week being better…. Even with the Internet around the chances are limited.
You can’t really meet up for dinner at a closed restaurant. I guess you could go for a park walk, or a Pik-Nik in the park, but meet ups at a concert show or DJ night will NEVER happen. Everyone keeps saying this is “no real issue” but yes… It is an issue.
