  • Family Travel

    By Andrea Menzies

My mom flew to California for a family birthday party Thursday, and I had to tell her how to post pictures to Instagram. I am feeding her dogs when she is gone. If it was me I would have 8 photos posted before I left the 1st airport. I would be on photo 100 by now.

    Show Renewed

    By Andrea Menzies

I am so glad Upload is being renewed for a fourth season. The William Gibson cameo episode was great as I loved his cyberpunk books as a teen. The show is full of book references to his stories.

  • History Lesson

    By Andrea Menzies

Working with boxes makes me glad I have a University degree, and have worked a teaching job since 2019 over 4 years. Nothing makes me miss teaching work more than the 30 thousand steps I had to walk yesterday delivering boxes for a second job I work on school break gaps yearly. Every history lesson about why unions were invented suddenly makes more sense to me today. Ouch!

  • Back In Line

    By Andrea Menzies

I am back in the work lines at Amazon as of this month. I thought I was not going back to a second job there, but they invited me back with many e-mails right when I was having bill issues. My second assignment there has way better job tasks and hours, and so I like it much better. Amazon has all the money, and so you gotta do what you gotta do as bills don’t pay themselves and I am a single parent.

  • Work Return

    By Andrea Menzies

I am glad to be returning to work today at a second job. The first few weeks of summer vacation were great when I had no work hours at my job, but now I am completely bored playing too many games. Schools really need to reduce summer vacation to 1 month. I am back to earning money for my piggy bank today.

  • Guild Wars Update

    By Andrea Menzies

The new Guild Wars 2 update looks amazing, and my review so far is five stars. The game world has become increasingly amazing in preparation for the expansion Janthir Wilds which will be available August 20, 2024. At the price of $24.99 on Steam for prepurchase it is not too pricey. Some people worried the new houses will make it too much like Sims, but I love MMO games with houses so it should be a change for the better.

I have played a necromancer since the first Guild Wars, which is still available on Steam games. The many zombie minions, and damage over time spells make it as good as wizards and rangers in other games. Guild Wars lets you play in teams with online friends, but it also lets you pick up NPC characters in town with game gold to play group quests solo if you want solo runs. The new game has had me replaying the old game, and both have loads of wild and exciting fun. Add me to friends online as Poedaughterz and Poedaughters if you need help with the game. Poedaughterz the necromancer is where I am online most.

  • Tarisland MMO

    By Andrea Menzies

As an MMO video game fan I love the new Tarisland MMO, and how little space it takes up on PC memory. I like that if you download BlueStacks it plays well on PC, and does not block Guild Wars 2 the game I now most love. However the truly scientifically fascinating part of Tarisland is the quests are almost all clones of old school World of Warcraft, but it dances just under the limbo line of lawsuit worthy copyright infringement.

The introduction in Tarisland of a Bard class points out that World of Warcraft was in fact itself ripping off Dungeons and Dragons and Lord of the Rings so everything is related in video games. I like Tarisland better as it is smaller on computer memory, easier to solo play, and the plot is not as dark as Warcraft’s super-downer quests. The new game is worth a try, and I give it 5 stars.

I play Poedaughters and Poedaughter7 on server EU-1 if anyone wants to add me to friends.

    Stunning graphics in town.
Seriously looks just like other games.
High game clone factor on elf land graphics, but in a good way. All games are based on Lord of the Rings and DND after all.
  • Child Myth

    By Andrea Menzies

The greatest myth told to children is “you can be anything when you grow up” as a profitable job. No you are not going to be a cowboy, artist, rockstar, zookeeper, and astronaut as most people have learned. You go where the money is or you suffer.

  • Packed Park

    Packed Park

    By Andrea Menzies

My video game club had a park meetup Wednesday. I could not understand why the park was packed when I went out. It was like the 4th July out there! I forgot June 19 is now a huge holiday as of this year. Oh so much street dancing, and even I danced as I won a raid. Parks are great for bringing many types of people together. I was super confused as I thought everyone was happy about video game scores and dancing. I am in no way against June 19 as a holiday, but I felt dumb afterwards for not knowing about it.
