  • Happy Bastille Day July 14

    By Andrea E. Menzies

Happy Bastille Day holiday to France. I was traveling in France for the first Bastille Day I saw as a kid. It is also celebrated in New Orleans, Louisiana in the USA as it was originally a French colony. Many people still speak French in the area.

  • Season 1 Episode 5 – Campaign Against Facebook

Season 1 Episode 5 – Campaign Against Facebook

A podcast book review on The Campaign Against Facebook a book about the many huge lawsuits against the Internet giant. Here are just some of the Facebook lawsuits addressed inside.

    1. Facebook is giving con-artists the information to popular pages.
    2. Taking money to post advertisements, and shutting off accounts when there have been no violations. Never refunding the advertisement money.
    3. Doing experiments with false posts on Facebook with no authorization from users.
    4. Selling the information on underaged kids.
    5. Posting “by mistake” fake news information that wins elections.

This episode addresses the 2012 and 2014 Facebook Emotional Contagion Study and the related lawsuit.

Note that in my class this semester we studied the Facebook Emotional Contagion Study conducted in 2012. Facebook conducted a study on hundreds of thousands of people with no consent. It was found guilty of this in court. It claims fake news that changes election results is a mistake, but practiced manipulation willfully right before-hand of the same type.

    Purple Clover

Purple Clover available on Amazon grows well. I purchased the seeds for my mom on Mother’s Day, and it is one of the few seeds I have bought that has grown up. My review is they are worth the money.

  • Passing Grades

    Passing Grades

    By Andrea Menzies 07/13/26

I just got the email I passed another class! I am taking a masters degree at night school, and passed three classes at the new school. I passed 2 classes at another school, but they were charging double the tuition I agreed to so I transferred. 5 classes in a masters degree program have been passed by me in 2025 and 2026. It is a stressful program, but filled with great information. I wish con-artist scumbags had not tried to destroy my ability to go to school when I first moved to Virginia. I would have loved to have gone back sooner. I am a lifelong learning fan.

  • Shockoe Garbage Toilet

    By Andrea Menzies 07/13/26

June and July mark my last trips in 2023 to downtown RVA near the entertainment district in Shockoe. I take screenshots of my last check-ins to remember it has been years. I used to go to the Fallout dance-club and clubs around in Shockoe Bottom area as it vaguely reminded me of far better music clubs in other states with good concerts, friends, poetry readings, and dancing. Going out used to make people friends. My phone was lit up like a tree with friend calls. Unfortunately, Shockoe is a garbage-toilet filled with human sewage con-artist identity theft robbery scumbags. It is not just occasionally filled with bad jerks in downtown Shockoe, VA it is ALL jerks there. My last night there I had to flee in terror from people trying to rob me and force me to buy garbage property, and stealing my information for fraud. I changed addresses from the first place I lived in Virginia, and they instantly knew and demanded I update my information. How did they know unless they were USING my information behind my back without permission? Oceans of credit cards I didn’t apply for kept asking me for contact information correction. A real problem of showing ID cards to get into clubs is everyone sees your card and can copy the information for fraud. I am so glad I used fake ID cards and addresses with them so all their scams would fail. I barely got away. I still love live music as I lived in far friendlier towns for years. I am careful to ONLY buy tickets for road-trips to shows in other states for music and friends as something horrific is happening with nightlife and making friends in the Virginia local areas. Since vowing to never talk to downtown Richmond people my life has improved massively, I am passing night school, and I wish I had never made the mistake of wasting time in Shockoe. I am saving my money to move forever to a less horrible area. My review is I desperately tried for years to find a place in Virginia that is not a garbage-toilet, but it is all a disgusting garbage-toilet. #HateVirginiaForever

  • Data Joke

    By Andrea Menzies 07/12/26

I was just joking with people online “at least they are not building a data center next to my room” and oh no they are doing that now. I already greatly hate that my family got me to move to Virginia as I hate every square foot of the place in comparison to other towns I have lived in, and loud pollution pit would be a step in the worst direction for certain.

I just finished the Clinical Research Certification by CITI by University in Florida. The accredited 15 class vocational certificate was hard, but I understand medical science and statistics far better for healthcare. It even has a great link for reposting on LinkedIn.

  • Women Created Equal

    Women Created Equal

    By Andrea E. Menzies 7/06/26

“All Men Are Created Equal” is a famous phrase from the Declaration of Independence signed July 4th of 1776. The document is the origin of the July 4th holiday. It has an iconic phrase declaring women unequal. I have returned to school this year, and ironically noticed for the first 200 years of American history women were refused the ability to go to universities at all. Men could easily say women were constantly stupid, drunk, or insane as an excuse to mentally and physically abuse them, and they had no way to prove the lies wrong. It constantly perpetuated cycles of abuse leaving women broke, abandoned, and alone without education. The 4th of July is a great holiday, but never forget it had a promise of freedom few people got to enjoy. In recent history lawmakers have tried to strip women of their rights, and it is important to remember the “good old days” were not always good. At the time of the Declaration of Independence women were not allowed an education in most places. Separate schools had to be created as women-only institutions as women were blamed when men could not control themselves at all in work and school.

  • Nursing Class

    Nursing Class

    By Andrea Menzies 07/03/26

I just got confirmation I am enrolled in nursing healthcare classes for August of this year. The receipt was in my email today, and am now buying scrubs. I have been teaching for years, but I need to change to make more money. They keep saying in a couple more weeks they are going to make me a “real” teacher with benefits, and YEARS have passed with no real job. I have been applying, and trying to get interviewed. They won’t do it! Time to change to a more high demand job as I can’t wait forever.

    Fly high.
