Funny Facebook post of the week: I do not live in Texas anymore, please stop sending me e-mail for local events.

Please do not invite me to Texas or New Orleans Halloween parties. I still live in a Virginia address a 36 hour drive away from Austin.

Andrea E. Menzies It has been a real issue that people have been inviting me to parties in Austin, and I do still live in the Richmond, VA area. I use a P.O. box in Austin for jobs sometimes, but I have NOT moved back there at all.

Stephen Summerlin Andrea I was thinking of asking you if you were ever going to come back to Texas? Maybe not to live but to visit.

Andrea E. Menzies Not for a few more months for sure. Thanks for asking, however…

Rob Lloyd Your spirit seems to hang out around here whenever the Halloween spirit ascends. It’s not quite the same as hanging out in a corporeal sense, but the thought of you raising the spirits of those around you this time of year brings me a smile. May whatever festivities summon you for Halloween be painted black.

Andrea E. Menzies I sure miss New Orleans and the Anne Rice Ball for Halloween. I need to get some friends to plan a road trip there for Halloween in the next couple of years they do it up right. As for here I am going to the All Saints Day Halloween Parade for Halloween this year.

    Odd Dreams

I dreamed that there was going to be a big amount of death somewhere in the Las Vegas area.  I dreamed ghosts were saying this to me for Halloween. I felt I had an overwhelming amount inspiration to write about a Las Vegas killing spree.  I then wrote the story “Vegas Zombie Gold” and published it in my latest book Dark Before Dawn the Bonus Stories. I am worried with the violence in Vegas that people will think the killing in Vegas in my book was some sort of “commentary” on the gun man. I wrote my Vegas Gold story MONTHS before the violence happened in the town!  Wow… How psychic am I? It was a very strange coincidence to be sure, but just blind luck and in no way a commentary.  Now I know why writers put the “this is a work of fiction, and any similarities to people living or dead is just a coincidence” disclaimer in front of their work when they publish it.  I am glad I put a disclaimer on my last book. Truth is stranger than fiction many days. Pot_O'_Gold_Pin
