People keep asking me online for “recent” and “new” photos on Facebook. This is Facebook! When I travel my feed is fully cram-packed with photos of me. It makes YOU look extremely dumb NOT to notice this fact. This photo of me is from my Washington DC trip April of 2019. It is a sort of passive-aggressive way of saying they “get to judge” me, and my photos to ask for new photos. No way Jose…. Are they clones of Brad Pitt? Are the guys asking perfect?… NO! Sometimes I think Virginia men are the most physically and mentally abusive men I have ever met, but then I get reminders many men ALL over are this bad.

The second half of the “I want recent photos” scenario can often become abusive and a scam. I have heard the story from many angry female friends. If you give them a normal recent photo they say it is not “sexy” enough, and try to insult you into taking porn of yourself. Once you have sent naughty photos of yourself to strangers they can say things like I will send copies to your parents or post it to the Internet as revenge porn if you don’t send me money! They never were thinking you were attractive enough to date and make a wife. They were just looking for someone to abuse and blackmail. It is a scam frequently run on women and men using dating apps.

When I was doing well at University many men hit on me. I thought they were all potential husbands. It turns out many people see a smart career woman as a sugar mommy to abuse, and blackmail. My female friends in the military also had this happen constantly where men pretend to like them just to try to humiliate them later demanding money. People brag lightly about their education on pages like Linkedin to get friends, work contacts, and jobs, but on the Internet all the wrong people could be listening in. Don’t trust motives on random Internet messages!
