    At long last there is some progress for the week.

  • Corona and Single Life 2020

    An issue with Corona Virus keeping us all inside is that if you are single there is not even the HOPE of dating. As a single person I really hate this part, and wish for the end of the home-stay. Before if I had a bad weekend I at least had HOPE of the next week being better…. Even with the Internet around the chances are limited.

    You can’t really meet up for dinner at a closed restaurant. I guess you could go for a park walk, or a Pik-Nik in the park, but meet ups at a concert show or DJ night will NEVER happen. Everyone keeps saying this is “no real issue” but yes… It is an issue.

  • Virginia Schools Close for the Year 2020

    Oh no schools have been closed for the year! Right as I am a teacher for the first time in years! This sucks! Kids will need summer school for years after this closing! They are also closing barbers so we are going to have REALLY ugly hair! The horror!

     

  • Corona and Uber

    A rough thing about working Uber and Lyft as a side gig right now is that night clubs have closed so male riders are getting extra creepy with female drivers. When is it okay to try solicit your driver as a prostitute? Never! This is why I drive with cameras, and 8 brands of mace, and tasers in my car. Oh well at least I am still working some hours, but I am trying to switch to mostly delivery work after this week. SUPER creepy guys! P.S. I am not now and have never been a prostitute.

  • Speak-Easy Hot Spots

    As public bars shut the rise of pop-up home-bars has been dramatic. It is the “20s” again, and so I guess Speak-Easy hot spots are a thing again as well. Will flappers and bath-tub gin be next? This reminds me of the country song “I’m going to hire a wine-o to decorate our home so you won’t need to roam” where he makes a great home bar!

  • Returning to Warcraft

    I had quit Warcraft due to lack of free time, but I have free time now! I am going to have amazing ice mages by the end of this virus scare. I have Facebook connect so add me to friends on Facebook or as Poedaughter, or alts Poedaughterx, or Poedaughters.

    Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to all! Try to stay upbeat in the dark times. I usually go out Uber driving for Saint Patrick’s day, but with clubbing and campus closed what is the point?
