Baby Yoda may look like a Gremlin, but lets face it he IS really a part of the Dark Crystal. My Yoda theory is that I don’t think the link is “just luck” I think the Dark Crystal is really the origin story of the real Yoda even if baby Yoda looks like a Gremlin. Frank Oz was the voice of Yoda in the first films. “Star Wars creator George Lucas was an executive producer on the movie Labyrinth (1986), directed by Muppets creator Jim Henson. ALL the same people! I think that the Dark Crystal was the story of Yoda, but they were thinking he lost “Mystery” when they made his story too clear so they changed the names at the last second. The powers of the “Dark” crystal sure do match the “Dark” side of the force. They never show Yoda on the planet of the Dark Crystal, but if he changed his name after healing the crystal and went off world, it could explain much of Yoda’s power.
