Fire Update
Fire update: My building is totaled, and I suddenly need a new apartment! The government says my old building is condemned due to the fire that happened 3 units from my unit destroying most things, and so I will never be moving back in to it. Fortunately renters insurance I have is paying for a hotel, and a moving service is moving my recovered things to storage Wednesday. This has been nerve wracking and rough for sure, but it could be worse. At least most of my belongings survived the water and smoke damage. There is a horrible smoke and chemical smell to the apartment making moving things frustrating. I had a sprained ankle a week ago, have a childhood heart-murmur, and suffer migraines so suddenly moving large furniture is tricky for me.

Hotel Dogs
My dogs Bootsie and Bella have become hotel dogs now. They have been surprisingly well behaved in this wild adventure. I am really glad they were not burned up in the apartment building’s fire. Belongings can be replaced, but living beings can not be replaced!

Still Stuck
I am still stuck at the hotel room today. At first it was exciting, but now I just want my own food and stuff returned. I am constantly afraid if things in the room get lost or broken I will be charged a mint to replace them. What insurance will and will not “pay” for can turn sketchy. It is not like being on a voluntary vacation at all! I think an electrician who used to work at that apartment building was breaking things on purpose to make extra work for himself for profit. Things break with suspicious “frequency” in that building that seems to be lining repair workers pockets all too well. I am now in favor of moving to a new area!

The Room
One of the up-sides to the apartment building being on fire yesterday was renter’s insurance my family had on my place got me a nice hotel. I am staying there many days as the power is off in my old unit. It is so fancy the place has dishes, and a stove. I did not even know the Marriott Residence Inn was this nice. I will recommend it in the future, and will give it a good Foursquare and Yelp rating. Yet not having to flee in terror from a fire would have been better.

The Rest
A fire happened in my apartment building yesterday. After a rest I used the fortune telling apps on my phone to relax. The free app Luminous Spirit gave a creepy level of accuracy to the reading. It had the Tower card for emergency escape, and Strength for happy outcome. It is fun but also leaves you startled when fortune telling is on target for your life.

My apartment building is on fire today. A unit three units away from my unit lit a fire. My roommates and I got the dogs out, and rented an emergency hotel room.

Many people forget how dark the times were before women had the right to vote or access to birth control granted by laws following the precedent created by Roe vs. Wade. Women could be fired without notice from any job the moment their employer found they were pregnant. Women had to carry to term pregnancies due to rape or incest, and so this could happen for many reasons. Without jobs women were forced to move themselves and their child in with whatever abusive man would have them and their child in their house eating their food. An abuse law that existed in real-life was called the “Rule of Thumb” where men were allowed to beat women all day long as long as the beating stick was the size of a thumb. It is the legacy of the emotional damage of this old world household rule is why so many people are in therapy in modern day. Now laws where women can control their jobs and bodies are under greater attack than ever before in modern day. If supervisors and law makers allow ONE woman to lose control of their jobs, personal lives, and their bodies they open the door to ALL women losing control of their jobs and bodies. If women lose this control a new age of beatings and slavery will begin for ALL our daughters.

Uber Return
Dear Uber drivers please return to work. Downtown went from empty to a Circus in one weekend. I did not have the gas to drive everyone with the gas shortages in my area. It was a clown convention downtown. 🤡
