  • Airport Travel

    By Andrea Menzies
My family has a California funeral to go to this week. I was at the airport today. Thankfully it is not in the storm area, and the flight is not delayed.

    Happy Trails

    By Andrea Menzies

My daughter Alexandria is visiting my aunt Jeannie in San Jose, California for part of Christmas Break. So far freezing airports didn’t block her in for travel, and she sent me an airport photo. Some weeks I am proud of being a single mother even if it is really expensive.

  • Daily Song

“Oh how I HATE being single, and NOT having a boyfriend!” This is the song that I sing EVERY day as I wake up. I am still a person who craves love just as much as when she had a husband, and gave birth to her daughter. My ex-husband was the one who abandoned and divorced me, and yet society blames the woman for the things the man did. Still I keep up hope that I will meet someone for a lasting relationship, and a new chapter of my life can begin even if I have to travel to the ends of the Earth to find it.

  • Travel Trouble

I am super glad I cancelled my summer road trip plans. I was almost driving in this storm.

  • Travel Cancelled

I am not leaving town this summer break. The friend that said I could stay on their sofa in New Orleans turned into a mega sewage bag, and demanded triple money and free car rides. My car broke down. Then my teaching job did not pay me for several days of work I did on my check. This made me cancel my visit. A fall visit in October would be a far better plan anyway, and would make my summer more restful. The friend and dating river is filled with manipulative sewage, and I am not playing that game. This is reason number one million I am fixing up a travel RV as “you can stay on my sofa” is often code for “I plan to rip you off” in travel conversations.

  • Home Again

Home again home again jiggity jig I am back in Virginia. Great thanks to the many friends that helped me travel. It turns out my family needed me to come home early, and so I drove back before the end of Spring Break. I will resume the job hunt later after resting. I got great photos and souvenirs when traveling, and talked to many great friends.

  • Best Food On Magazine St

The best food I have had on Magazine in New Orleans so far is Henry’s Grill Karaoke night with Frytastic Smashed Burgers. Yummy!

  • Biggest Planet Fitness Ever

The Kenner, Louisiana Planet Fitness is the biggest one I have ever seen. RV travel fans often shower at gyms when traveling.

  • Revenge Travel By NPR

People want vengeance for being stuck home in the pandemic now says NPR. I am picking up job applications and rent brochures because I want to STAY gone. New words for absolute hate have to be invented to describe how I feel about Virginia.
