    I was planning a Louisiana trip for Saint Patrick’s Day 2023, but my travel vehicle is making noise and needs repair badly. Travel delay jinxed the plan. A few more days for travel launch.

  • Wishing For Gumbo

    My upcoming road trip to New Orleans has me dreaming of gumbo every night. I can’t wait!

  • Travel Time

    It is travel-time later this month as New Orleans friends and family agreed to let me stay in New Orleans for Saint Patrick’s day weekend. I have been needing space from the East Coast for a while, and am glad others agreed. I used to live in New Orleans for years as I got my first University degree. New Orleans goes wild for Saint Patrick’s day, and I am sure the photos of the parades will be great this year. Also Loyola University New Orleans is having a big reunion and tour, and I have tickets for the weekend.

  • Travel Urge

    I greatly feel homesick for the south this time of year. The people and places were amazing the years I lived in Texas and Louisiana. Dating in Virginia sucks crap. I have never liked anything in Virginia, and even dislike the beach areas as shown below. My travel urge has hit epic levels.

    It is very strange that they put a statue of a huge naked guy with no pants beach-side.

  • Grocery Day

    After going to teaching work today I bought my mom $75 in groceries including bananas. Like I have done hundreds of times before.

  • Worth a Road-Trip

    Worth a road-trip take #2 two more great bands on tour! It seems Silver Springs, MD has the only night life around the area. Google maps says it is a 2 hour drive, but I have never made it in less than 5 hours.

  • Airport Time

    I have a great deal of family in Los Angeles, CA and Seattle, WA. My mom is flying to visit her family in LA to see a funeral, and then Seattle to see a baby shower for two weeks. A full circle of life tour. I will be house sitting her plants and pets, and so people who need to reach me should try me there. My normal cell phone number will be good for phone contact. I plan to visit soon myself as I went to school there as a kid, and miss my California school friends.
